I utilize virtual desktops non-stop. It is an essential feature to my workflow. I keep ideas, app types, clients, workflows, and many things compartmentalized, open, and easily toggled to by switching virtual desktops. This is a featured that Linux desktops have enjoyed for many years, with a whole lot more features and configurations.
Microsoft recently re-introduced a slide animation when switching between virtual dektops. It is a beautiful animation, although timed very slowly and with an (imho) unnacceptible delay. As an avid and advanced desktop user, this animation adds significant lag within my day-to-day use.
